TIMESCALES FOR REPEATS: Please order about a week in advance. It normally takes 48 hours (excluding weekends/public holidays) from our receipt of your request before it is ready to collect, but it could be longer.

You can order your repeat prescription in any of the ways listed below.
How long it takes to fulfil varies, but generally it takes us 2 working days from receipt of your request. (NB When dropping off your request to a nominated chemist it may take 3-5 days before your medical supplies are ready for collection/delivery.)
Repeat prescription form You’ll find a list of supplies with to your previous prescription. Simply tick what you need and drop off this tear-off sheet back either to us or your nominated chemist for action. If you:
Lost your repeats form? Simply put your request in writing to us instead. Your new prescription will include a repeats list for you to keep and use next time.
Please plan your repeat medication requests well in advance to avoid unnecessary delays.
Items listed on your current repeat medication slip will be processed by us within 48 working hours. Any additional items may take longer, as you may need to see a GP first.

For patients who have complicated regular medication regimes we offer to deliver sorted dosage packs that contain all the medication required for a full 28-day cycle.

Prescriptions Free Home Delivery
We offer a free home delivery service on prescriptions for patients who cannot come into the surgery. Please ask our dispensary staff or your GP.
If you need frequent or regular prescriptions you might be able to save money by paying an upfront fee. To do this you will need to apply for a Prescription pre-payment certificate (PPC) for either 3 or 6 months:

Some people automatically get free prescriptions, for example children, some students and people over 60.
Others, can apply for free prescriptions for example - pregnant women or new mums, people on some State benefits, NHS inpatients and people with certain long-term or life-long medical conditions such as cancer, epilepsy, hypothyroidism etc.

Otherwise, patients living within 1 mile of a chemist or pharmacy, cannot use our dispensary service and must take their prescriptions to a community pharmacy instead.
