Dr Jolyon Miles
Special interest in
gastroenterology, digestion and
Born into a medical family and educated in Canterbury Jolyon trained at the Royal London Hospital. After qualification in 1983 he spent 4 years specialising in Hospital Medicine before moving into General Practice.
For 20 years he continued his specialist medical interests by working as an Endoscopist in the local gastroenterology department.
His other specialist interests are: Medical education, minor surgery including vasectomy and musculoskeletal medicine (to complement his interest in sport).

Special interests in cardiology, minor surgery and GP education.
Allan Fox graduated in Microbiology in 1980 before going onto research in the same field. He went on to train in medicine at St. Thomas’ Hospital; he qualified in 1989 and obtained a fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2005.
He is very closely involved in training doctors for the Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners examination and medical students.
He also has a special interest in cardiology and minor surgery.

Special interest in occupational medicine
Before qualifying as a doctor from Manchester University in 1992, Nick gained a degree from University College, London, in French and Italian literature and language. He then worked in the film industry where he used his communications flair to produce commercials, videos and films.
Nick did his GP training in Ashford, working for two years in various departments of the William Harvey Hospital followed by a year as a GP Registrar.
After completing his training, he worked as a GP locum in East Kent for a further two years, gaining wide experience in different types of General Practice.
One of his specialist interests is occupational medicine and Nick works closely with local businesses providing occupational health services.

Special interests include geriatric medicine, contraceptive services and gynaecology.
Dr Crouch grew up locally. She qualified from Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in 2001. Her early career was spent in general hospital medicine in Kent and London. She undertook her GP training locally and first worked at the surgery in 2008. Dr. Crouch has also been the Ashford Clinical Commissioning Group Clinical lead for Child Health, Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services and Maternity Services.

Dr Burns trained at Guys and St Thomas in London. Qualified in 1998 then worked in hospital medicine for the next 10 years before training as a GP. Interested in all areas of general practice particularly diabetes and women's health.

Having completed her medical training at Kings College, London, Dr Pereira Xavier trained in the South East Area for the next 2 years before moving to Kent for her speciality training in East Kent.
Dr Fox and Dr Miles are involved in training the next generation of General Practitioners and hospital doctors. The wonderful facilities and range of medical services on offer at Wye Surgery, make it the ideal place to learn.
